Komorebi

Onomatopeic poem based on the Japanese concept of komorebi: the letter o is used to resemble a tree canopy, with rays of 'j' mimicking sunlight filtering through.

In real life, the space between the canopy and branches allows sunlight to gently filter through. In Japanese, komorebi captures the dappled sunlight filtering through the spaces between tree canopies and branches. Ko-mo-re-bi. Koh-mo-reh-bee. Made up of the kanji characters for tree (木), shine through (漏れ), and sun (日).
